Parts Replenishment

IoEworX offers the most cost effective solution for parts replenishment by eliminating the need for additional wired line-side infrastructure. When a line operator observes parts are running out, he presses the AeroScout Wi-Fi Pendant call button mounted next to each part container. The battery powered Pendant submits a wireless part replenishment request that is received by the existing Wi-Fi network. Automotive manufacturers can reduce line-side inventory by applying “just in time” container delivery (e-Kanban), gather process metrics and increase safety by keeping clear driving aisles.

 

WIP Tracking & Visibility

Real-time visibility of all WIP carriers (e.g. tire carriers) in a component manufacturing plant is critical in order to expedite production and control factory logistics e.g. deliver material and carriers to workcells “just in time”. With IoEworX, the location and status of parts and material can be viewed on PC’s, laptops and handheld devices or updated online in scheduling/manufacturing systems. Automated alerts and reports notify floor managers of production and customer orders’ status.

 

Vehicle Inventory

IoEworX’s provides full vehicle visibility for rework halls, testing facilities and distribution centers. Wi-Fi-based tags mounted inside the vehicles provide visibility throughout the premises including production halls and outdoor yards. Users can quickly locate vehicles using their PCs, laptops and handheld devices to view vehicles’ accurate location on a map, eliminating long searches and increasing workers’ productivity. Inventory reports can be automatically generated eliminating the need for manual tracking and long searches for missing vehicles.

 

Workcell Utilization

Manufacturers and distribution centers can increase workcell utilization and reduce cycle times by tracking vehicles entering and leaving each and every workcell. Alerts and notifications can be configured to inform floor managers of any production inefficiency or workcells idle time.

 

Container Management and Inbound Logistics

Containers, material, service vehicles and equipment are constantly moving in between facilities, suppliers, warehouses and parking lots, thus creating an even bigger challenge. With IoEworX, managers can track shipped items and receive notifications upon items arrival or departure, improving traceability and ensuring items arrive at the correct destination. Part containers inventory is optimized by maintaining complete visibility over all warehouses and delivering required containers just-in-time.
